To DO's, don't DO's, did DO's and do DO's.
Proverbs 6:23
For these commands are a lamp,
For these commands are a lamp,
this teaching is a light,
and the corrections of discipline
are the way to life
I did something!
My season of waiting might be at an end; however I’m left with no certainties. Friday after noon I had a lunch meeting with Niall McSheffery of Josiah Ventures to get some information on their organization. The information I got was very helpful, and yet it left me with a few concerns. Niall is no longer living in Eastern Europe so he is not the man who decides who goes or stays, but he has been in this particular ministry for a long time. Basically he was there to ask the questions the big wigs would ask so I can be prepared.
While telling Niall my story he came to the conclusion that I’m JV material. Our visions align and I have the training they want their missionaries to have. Good new there. And he didn’t even react to the fact that I don’t have a college degree. Total first for me when dealing with missions organizations.
After I was able to share with Niall my vision for Velky Krtis he asked the question “What if we sent you to Velky Krtis but you have to serve in Zalina for two years first?” Obviously I was not thrilled about the idea and I diplomatically let him know so. After he proposed a possibility of living in VK but serving in some JV ministries a week here and there. An idea I’m more open to however if they are going to ask for me in the summer when the VK camps are going on, again I’m going to have to say no. I can’t abandon the ministry during the biggest outreach of the whole year even if it is for an equally noble ministry.
I’m doing something!
So because Niall is not the big wig to say yes or no at this point he is going to give me the emails of two men (One big wig in SK and one here in the states) He says I need to write them and tell them the same things I told him. What I have done, why VK and so on. From their it is just a matter of God convincing them that VK is a good ministry and I’m needed there.
The letter in current under construction.
Also I have not given up on International Needs Network. Still waiting to hear from Pavel Sinko (director of IN Slovakia) to see if there is a possibility of going through them. There are also ups and down with going through them… just trying to see who Pros outweigh the cons.
So my options are open and I’m still trying to be patience. Some might be happy with options but I do much better with specifics.
Prayer Requests and Praises!
The Lord will lead my steps and I will let him.
Still that I will find a mission org in a speedy manor. Spring approaches rapidly.
Still that I will be able to raise the funds needed. Praise God I already had four people say they would give me monthly support!
Praise God for he has brought Kathy to my prayer warrior team! Thanks Kathy for rocking so much!

And I love your first prayer request... to be totally surrendered and utterly led by God's Spirit. I imagine that might lead to a few surprises along the way.
I'm praying with you and for you. God has such good things in store. As you continue to initiate and wait, I'd suggest seeing this time as a season of intense preparation. Dive deeply into prayer, the word, and relevant reading to where you think the Lord's calling you. Allow the Spirit to spark and direct ideas and passions in you that will help shine light on the path he's leading you toward. Have lots of conversations with missional people that will inspire you, encourage you, and stir up your hopeful imagination.
Wanna begin praying weekly or biweekly with us after we get into our new apartment? We'd love to begin praying corporately for the Lord's missional activity among and through all of us.
Much love, sister. In Christ with you, your brother & fellow ambassador, - JL
