He gives me so much and it is always just enough

My Chello

I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

Don’t cry for me Slovakia, the truth is I never left you.

Yesterday I woke up to a text message from a number I didn’t recognize so I ignored it. About 20 minutes later I got a call from an “unknown” number so I didn’t answer. After a voicemail was left I listening to it and almost had a heart attack! It was my brother Noah telling me he was going to be on Skype and he wanted me to call him. So I obviously ran down the stairs logged onto Skype and we talked for 2 ½ hours. It was amazing. My new best friend (Who has moved in with Noah) Chello was there as well.
It was so wonderful. I could close my eyes and be back in the teahouse with them. Chello saying everything in Slovak and me understanding every third word… Noah answering in broken Slovak and me understanding him perfectly. Laughing, laughing, laughing.
It was like I never left and we just picked up right were we left off. It was good for my heart.
We were also able to encourage each other and talk about the ministry. It is funny because Even though Noah has lived in Slovakia for the past four years he and I are almost in the same boat. He too needs to get a legitimate mission organization backing him and that means he will need to come back to the states to raise some more support.

With God on my side, who needs time?

I know it has been a while since I wrote saying that the letter to the JV big wigs (Mel and Peto) was under construction. Well, because it was such an important letter (and you have seen how I write) I wanted my Dad to give it a little more professional flair. He held onto it for about a week before we could come to agreement on what actually should be said in this introductory letter. By the time I actually sent it I felt like it had lost all spunk or passion. But knowing my own faults as an imperfect being I asked my mom and dad to pray over the letter before it was sent.

I sent the letter just before bed and low and behold less then 14 hours later I got this response…

Meghan,
Thank you so much for your email. I heard your heart and passion for the ministry and people in Slovakia through what you shared, and it is a great encouragement to me. We have been praying God would raise up His people for the work there, and it’s exciting to see how He has been using you and preparing you over the years. We’ve also enjoyed getting to know your brother, Noah, and are looking forward to having him on our team. This Friday, Peto and I will be having dinner, and we will discuss next steps, so we can get back to you.
Again, Meghan, thank you. Let’s commit this to prayer and see how God leads!
In Christ,
Mel

HOLY COW MY GOD IS SO GOOD! So not only have I committed to pray for this but I hope that I can count on you all too! Wink-wink

From Zion in perfect beauty God shines forth

So it has just been Amazing so far to see God working in all the little things. Every time I get a chance to share the ministry with a fresh person it lifts my heart. Ever time I get to talk with someone who is as excited as I am about the ministry I get completely energized. When people tell me they want to give me support without me bringing it up I’m blown away. And when I get a letter from a Slovak girl saying she needs me my heart just breaks (in a good way) The nudges here and waiting there… I can see God in all of it. And I don’t have the slightest doubt in my mind that he is working and he is going to work it all out.

Prayer Request

(This one is always going to be at the top by the way) That God will lead my steps and I will let him

Prayer for Mel Ellenwood and Peto Hrubo as they meet on Friday the 5th (they are 9 hours ahead though so you can start to pray early… HA!) that God will give the guidance in what our next steps should be. And clarity on whether or not JV is the right organization for me.

That I will continue to see God working on not loose sight

Thanks again for the prayers! Couldn’t do it without you!
