How Great Is Our God!

Dear friends and family,

Luke 6:21

Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.

This verse rings so true for me right now. I just returned from Slovakia a little over one week ago. This year I saw firsthand the Lord working more than I ever had before and I have been doing these summer camps in Velky Krtis since 2000. I think about all the prayer, hard work and tears that have been poured out for this town for the past 11 years and I am filled with an overwhelming joy that God allows me to be a part of it!

We had a beautiful two weeks serving in the town of Velky Krtis and taking the students up to the mountains at Rackova Dolina. God was definitely at work in hearts of these students. There was an obvious change from the beginning of the trip to the end- students who had been distant or cold warmed up, students who were antagonistic became inquisitive, and students who had walked away from truth felt conviction.

I am even more overjoyed that this year God allowed us to see the fruit of all of our labor. This year three students gave their life to Jesus! Amen! Two of them are teenage girls who attended camp at Rackova Dolina for the first time this year. They are two very sweet girls that were a blessing to have with us this year. They don’t speak very much English so our conversations were VERY limited, but I hope to get to know them much better when I move out to Velky Krtis fulltime.

The other who gave his life to Christ is my dear friend. I met him at my first camp in the year 2000 when he was 12 years old. This young man had been hearing the gospel spoken loud and clear for 11 years and never wanted it.

This year, myself and others felt a deep burden to pray for my friend. And pray we did. I prayed tearfully for my dear friend for days and the Lord answered! The last night of camp he stood up in front of the whole camp and told us this year the gospel made sense to him and he gave his life to Christ. Even now my eyes are filled with tears of joy. This, my friends, is why I go back year after year. And you know I’d do it 11 more years for the chance to spend eternity with my beautiful friends from Velky Krtis.

Galatians 6:9

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Well, it looks like my time left in Arizona will be short. Now that I am back I can start getting my accounts in order and finishing up the last of my support raising. I don’t have the most recent totals just yet, but I have been getting a lot of “informal” pledges for the past few weeks. Once I get the amounts formally pledged I’ll be able to let you all know where I am at financially.

Whatever the total amounts may be, the leadership team in Slovakia and I are already making preparations for me to leave in the Fall. I really feel like the Lord is moving things along and I am ready for the ride! With a lot of work and prayer my November update could be written from my apartment in Velky Krtis!

Acts 2:42

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

Prayer Requests:

Please keep in prayer for Richey, Dagmar and Vladi as they deepen their relationship with God.

Please pray for the remaining funds to come in quickly so I can be ready to move in the Fall

Please pray for the Visa process to move along quickly and with no problems

God bless you all! You truly are an encouragement to me and I would not have gotten this far without your prayers and support.
