How precious is Your lovingkindness
Dear
Friends and Family,
How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.
If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
I want
to start this letter by thanking you all for your prayers for Chello and I and
our church here. The past few months have been incredibly difficult for us; we
are still in a season of intense spiritual battles, and I fear the lack of
spiritual maturity is taking its toll on our fellowship. There are some in our
fellowship who ,though I believe their intentions are good, are misleading
others by confusing personal experiences and opinions with biblical truths. One
example is, this past Thursday one of the young men in our fellowship was asked
to lead a Bible study and he didn’t use his Bible while teaching; he instead
shared personal opinions that actually contradicted the Bible. When others
tried to use scripture to correct they were met with a defensive and
augmentative attitude.
This
situation has forced Chello and I to our knees in prayer continuously. We know
that God loves Veľký Krtiš more than we ever could, and He is the only one to
bring healing and growth to our fellowship here. Veľký Krtiš has been a dark
place for a long time, and we can see now that the enemy is fighting to keep
its hold here. Chello and I have both experienced attacks and even seen the
presence of evil, but we know Jesus already has the victory. We know that it is
only through God strength that we will remain strong in this time. Please
continue to pray for our fellowship here. It is greatly needed.
There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven—
It is that time of year again!
Our schedules are getting fuller and fuller as the days go by. In a little over
a month our first summer team will arrive and lots of correspondence and
preparations are going on. They are going to be helping with some construction,
talking to local schools as well as doing outreach with the Gypsy community. We
are really looking forward to having them here.
We have also started
construction on the house again. This year is even more special for us as we
were able to hire people we know who are in desperate need of money. Jano, who
Chello has Bible study with, and Jaro, his best friend from childhood who is
not a believer. Chello has spent every day at the house working with them as a
means to share the gospel with Jaro, and encourage Jano every chance he
gets. Though the work is hard he is giving it his all and the house
already is showing great improvement.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin

I am so
happy to report that our ladies Bible study has been amazing. We are still
studying the Fruit of the Spirit and currently we are taking a very in-depth
look at the second fruit, Joy. I can see that God is using this study to speak
to the relevance of His scripture in our situations and circumstances. Though
every lady in our study has a different struggle we can see how God is working
to bless each one of us specifically.
Also,
relationships among us are deepening and this is leading to great conversations
and times of encouragement.
I have
also been trying to use the creativity God has given me to bless our time
together. My mother has left me an amazing supply of crafts from the ministries
she has done here and I have been using them in our studies to make our
time more special and fun. I am so happy that I can use my gifts in this way
and that I can bless others through the gifts God has given me.
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and
my portion forever.

Another
big prayer request I have right now is my health. For about a month now, I have
been fighting an infection in my right kidney. After many trips to the
hospital, doctor visits and many tests I am finally on medications to treat it.
Though we have seen some improvement in my condition, I still have pain in my
side daily and have little to no energy. I am returning to the doctor
today to see what other treatment I should be fallowing. This has definitely
impacted the ministry here as physically I am extremely limited during this
time. Please pray for quick healing so that I am able to fulfill the
responsibilities that were put before me.
Then hear from heaven their prayer and their plea, and uphold their cause.
The Lord
will lead our steps and we will let Him
For
healing and growth among our fellowship here.
For
physical healing of my kidney as well as spiritual strength for Chello and I
For our
finances. That the Lord will continue to meet our needs so we are able to
continue serve Him Veľký Krtiš
Once
again I must thank you all for the prayers, financial support and encouragement
you give us. You may never know in this life your true impact on the ministry
here, but it is because of you we are able to do what we do for the kingdom. We
thank God for each and every one of you!
