Good news on Zoe
Dear
Friends and Family,
Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
Praise
Jesus the surgery went well! All three of Zoe’s defects were fixed with no
complications during her surgery. No she is in recovery in the ICU and is being
watched very closely. She is stable (quite stable the doctor said) but we were
told that with this kind of surgery the infents tend to get worse before they
get better. So we are still praying, praying, praying for our baby girls little
body to be healed.
At this
point the main thing they are concerned with now is her lungs. Because of the
damage done by the defects in her heart as well as the invasiveness of the
surgery there is a lot of swelling and that is putting more strain on her
lungs. So for now she is heavily sedated and breathing with a ventilator (all
standard). In a few days (if all goes well) when the swelling goes down they
will try and when her off the ventilator.
Even
though the operation is over and went well we are not out of the wood yet. And
even though it was not the first time it was rough to see our precious little
girl with so many tubes coming out of her. Still because if the intensity of
the operation she is going to need to be in the ICU for at least 7 to 10 days.
We know that she belongs to Jesus and he is going to take care of her, but it
is still going to be a long recovery.
Thank
you all so much for the prayers! God is good!!!!!!!
Last moments before sending her to surgery
Chello, Meghan & Zoe Johnson
